That degree of sales takes a lot of different styles of people liking that particular song, and lots & lots of radio play. I am sure you can relate to the many "cards" that will have to be called in to get the radio stations to rotate a song. I don't see him even coming close to gold, even if Cowell invests millions in promotion.

Cook is ugly as sin, and IMO, he's not vocally different from the next guy to seperate himself.
I love watching the competition, but American Idol incapsulates EVERYTHING that is wrong with POP and Country music today.
Yeah, David C and maybe a couple of others will make a CD that will be snatched up by the kids, but they have nothing more to offer than they're notoriety from the show.. Just someone who can sing someone elses song.
Unless thet have a dynomite song writing cousin in there pocket, or access to dynomite songs from outside writers, they will fade away, and fast.

I dunno George, Daughtry's CD is certified triple platinum and I think Cook is as talented. If he gets the right writers and he will, I believe he has it in him.
