01 chevy 6.5 turbo diesel smoke
ok im not a diesel guy but i am a mechanic so i have a basic understanding of the basics of diesel i just don't have any experience. Now the problem is my buddys 01 chevy 6.5ltr (I think) diesel seems to smoke when the truck idles for a min. you sit at a stop light for like 3 min and then when you take off it puffs a little blue smoke. my first instinct was the turbo but im not so sure after reading some other stuff on glow plug issues. I do performance upgrades and tune gasoline engines using wide band so i know what color smoke means but i don't know if maybe diesel smokes blue?? anyway anyone with any knowledge please help.
