UDLOSE: I’m also interested in this, I have basically the same truck with 3000 miles on it and have never noticed a Regen that I can confirm and most of my driving has been driving around town, I don’t know if it would go into a Regen. Once on an 800 mile round trip with 1400 pounds in the truck driving 70mph the DTC was showing 14.5mpg and jump to 19.5mpg for about 40 miles and went back down to 14.5 and I was wondering if this was after a Regen?? I hand calculated that trip brim to brim and I averaged 14.4mpg(US). This is the best mileage my truck has got. So I also been wondering if and I would think you should get better fuel mileage after the DPF is cleaned out. Since my work schedule has slowed down, this is going to be my mission to investigate because it’s driving me nuts. Just for interest, we bought two new International trucks at work and a light comes on the dash that it has to go through Regen and counts down to shutdown, the driver has to pull over and press a button to start the Regen and it sits there and smokes for 20 plus minutes on the side of the road, the company have asked the driver to pull into a parking lot because they are afraid that someone is going to drive through the white smoke and hurt someone.
Hey MDarrough: If you remember me, I picked up my Jayco 313RKS last week, which is about the same weight as yours and drove it home (15 Mile), there is a 700 ft hill a mile long and with the cruise set at 60mph the DTC was showing 5.6mpg and running just under 3000 RPM. Since that trip I can’t get over 10mpg on the DTC and I’ve reset it. I’ve put on 150 mile in town stop and go and not going over 40mph. Should I have to take a run down the highway so the truck will go into Regen. Now that camping season has started, I ‘m hoping to get data that makes sense to me.
