Riverrat: See that is what’s driving me nuts, you have a dually, and getting better gas mileage. I’ve been driving under 40mph so I can at least see what the best I can get out of this truck, I gave the salesman a spreadsheet of my hand calculated gas mileage for thirteen tanks and he keeps telling me that Ford is coming out with a fix soon. Don’t take me wrong, this is my first diesel and I knew that I wasn’t going to get great gas mileage, I bought this truck to pull my dream trailer. But heavier Ford trucks are getting better fuel mileage. Sorry about the rant.
As for the Regen, if you get better mileage after a Regen and it’s not going into Regen because of me driving slow short trips in the city. I was thinking that if I look at what kind of sensor (pressure I think) is telling the ECM to start the Regen process and fool the ECM to go into Regen when I want it to.
