I have a tendancy to really baby the pedal away from stops, I try not to get my boost over 12-15 and keep my rpms under 2000. Sometimes if I really feel
like playing with it, I can reset the lie-o-meter and take it extra easy. I've seen as high as 18-18.5 mpg. That all goes away when I drive my normal patterns, drops down to the 14.5 mpg that I mentioned earlier.
I bought mine off the lot, if I had, had a chance to order, I probably would have ordered the 3.73 rear end. The trailer that I pull is only around 10,000 lbs. and the 3.73 would have handled that okay. Pretty flat here in Missouri.
I'm not to upset with the current mpg that I get because I traded in a "98" Dodge Dually V10 that only got me 10 mpg everyday that I owned it. Only got 8 mpg towing. I owned a 2004 F250 SC Shortbed for a total of 2 months and it only got 15-16 mpg and 11 towing my trailer. Couldn't get used to not having a dually and traded it away on the 08.
