Well it turns out I just started yanking here and there and wha-la there sits the IDM. The new(er) one should be here tomorrow to plug in real quick to see if it fixes the problem, which as of now I am not thinking it will.
Good news is I found a friend of mine that has the scan tool that I need and is letting me use it tomorrow if the new(er) IDM doesn't do the job.
