I Can Tell You From Exoerience In Iowa The Dot Does Pull Over Private Vehicles And Issue Tickets, I Can Also Tell You That In Most States If It Says Over 4ton Stop And Weigh They Really Want You Too Especially If You Have A Trailer, Its Not Hard However Expensive To Upgrade The License Weight On Your Truck Just Tell Em You Want It For X Amount Of Weight If You Pull A Normal Load Of Say 15,000 And Your Truck Weighs 10000 You Want 25,000 No Extra Ne Thing On Your License You Are 100% Legal
