My current '01 truck while running the 80hp econo tune seems to be getting the same fuel mileage as my old stock '99.
The fuel mileage has improved since this winter though. I haven't gone back to the stock tune to see if the improvement was from the chip or from summer fuel.
A question about getting better fuel economy. Would making the tranny shift early help? I noticed my truck won't shift into high gear until I reach 45mph or so. Is this something that can be changed with the chip?
Tomorrow I'm going to carry my car to the drag strip. The truck might have to make a couple of passes as well
I guess the fuel mileage of this tank is not gonna be too good.
