I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned the importance of buying the blue media air filter over the white. I change my oil every 4K because it is exposed to excess dust. Also, Blackstone reports on my '05 6.0 showed significant oil shear at this interval. I have noticed that the 6.4 cruds up oil quicker than the 6.0 or 7.3. I don't think I'm over doing it.
