i believe it is because when you seperate the body from the frame, the fan looses air in the gap, and causes cooling problems with the motor. and i believe the rad shroud has to be atlered also causing the fan to not blow on the rad properly, also causing cooling issues, just some of the reasons i have been told in the past.
