The 6.2L V8 will soon take over the V-10's duty's but will apparently make more power and consume less fuel, That's what will be my driveway next. The 6.2L has been cancelled for the F-150 unfortunatly.

I don't see how in the world you can actually SAVE $30 or more with a gasser. I used to have BOTH a Titan and a Frontier, granted they were both heavily modified with extreme lifts, but I found myself gassing up every three or four days at about $75 a fill up--this was when gas was close to $3 a gallon. Now that I have my F250 PSD, I gas up every 18 days or so and it costs me about $180. Diesels are more efficient in every way, they just cost more INITIALLY.

One bad truck doesn't mean the next one will be, the 6.4 is still quite new, try to hold out a while so the bugs can get worked out.

'08s have been out for about a year now. All the bugs that need to be worked out are worked out as best they can be. One bad truck is all it takes to undermine someone's confidence in the build quality of a manufacturer.
I'd recommend not buying a Ford if you've had bad experience. Because something WILL happen, however minor it is, and you'll be back here to complain about Ford when it was something that was probably not that big of a deal. This place is great if you want to rant/rave, so I don't think it matters that you'd rant if that were the case.... but still.... save yourself the hassle and buy something else.
