Come on everybody repeat after me. My name is ..... and I am addicted to oil.
Comparing us all to crack addicts because we need to drive to work... That's just great! What a stupid analogy.
There is NO legitimate reason to be on crack. I am using fuel to get myself and my equipment to work a very legitmate undertaking. Food would be a better analogy! While we don't need crack to survive, we all need food, it is a legitimate thing. Some need more than others. Some waste food others don't. But does the fact that you need to eat make you an addict? I am so sick and tired of being made to feel guilty for just doing what I need to do!
From the article-
"When a person is addicted to crack cocaine, his problem is not that the price of crack is going up. His problem is what that crack addiction is doing to his whole body."
Let me apply my analogy-
"When a person needs to eat in order to survive, his problem is not that the price of food is going up. His problem is what food is doing to his whole body."
Doesn't sound reasonable when you are comparing apples to apples.
