Regarding breakin period; I feel that my engine has seated the rings by now and can feel a difference in power. Since the factory doesn't use a "breakin oil" and it is all synthetic, it takes alot longer to seat rings. I had one fellow tell me his didn't really feel broken in until he hit 40k. That was an '06 V-10. Alot depends on how hard you run it. Towing heavy up a long mountain a few times should do the trick, but I wouldn't do that until you had about 5-10k on the engine. Just towing on more or less level ground surely won't hurt, no matter what.
