Question Wastegate issue, caught in middle

Im curious, i have read threads about the turbo master, and i am leaning twords getting it. But havent heard anything on how it works while opening when shifting? Sorry, as i am not completely knowledgable on how my truck works (why im on here, still trying to learn), but if im being a lead foot, and have to completely pull my foot off at say 22-25psi, doesnt the wastegate open to compensate for the suden change? I have a stock turbo, i have a wicked wheel in the mail (plan on doing wheel and wastegate at same time), would i be risking some sort of turbo surge or back pressure if i am flooring it and then let off with the turbo master? Any help is greatly appreciated. I just ordered the wheel this morning and want to get on ordering a new waste gate. The only other options i have seen are the BD wastegate or Banks BHA. Thanks for the help.
