While I was at JW, he told me that he spends a lot of extra time to make sure he has everything setup correctly before installing the transmission. He said that when a transmission fails that the cost to R&R and repair it will result in a loss of profit on the sale.
Based on the lack of complaints for failures on the Internet and the level of professionalism I saw with JW, I never worried or asked about the warranty.

exactly...JW just doesn't have the internet following that BTS does as well...and believe it or not..there's a lot of shops out there that do great work that aren't on this site.
Everyone on the bts bandwagon keeps talking about the levels of builds...that part of jw made me want to go there. It's notthat he's being lazy..he just doesn't sell the 3m input shafts to a poor sap who'll never come close to breaking a stock unit..which..come onnow...isn't junk. Plus, he does IN HOUSE machine work..and sells NEW 6.0 torque converters. His converter..which is a modified billett unit...sold me over the OTHER one used.
