I have a Ford , and what they are saying is that biodiesel could cause mechanical failure if more than B5 is used. Even though you purchase it from a commercial producer and meets the ASTM standards??

Its not the auto maker, its the inector makers.

The problem lies in loose or non-existant standards, and the ease of home-made w/out good QC. they can't control what we pour into our tanks (just take a look at what some here are burning), and they don't want to be stuck with a warranty claim.
BD is a great fuel, but it needs care in manufacture and storage to be used properly.
Just remember, Ford won't warrant a repair if you get bad #2 either.
