The 'smoke' is unburnt fuel and soot. If ya think that its not leaving deposits in your combustion chamber, you are really, really naive.
Beyond that, it stinks and increases dangerous toxins in the air we all have to breathe. Listen, diesel fumes are bad enough in a truck that runs RIGHT - w/no smoke.
I could give a sh!t that you are destroying a perfectly good truck, maybe its not worth much to you - but our kids and grandkids will spend their lifetimes trying to undo what the industrial revolution did to our environment. Why do you think we have 'clean diesels' now? The PSD cut emissions like 90% over the original IDI engines - why go back in time?
Look, I am not a 'tree-hugger', per se - but I recognize the fact our air IS cleaner than it ever was in my lifetime. Luckily, like the dinosaurs and the huge, polluting cars of the 60 & 70's - the 'old geezers' whose belief that the earth is too big and resilient for us to damage are dying off, albeit slowly...
Like I always say, y'all choose wisely or PLEASE, PLEASE post pics of the carnage!!
