like it has been mentioned, the forums deal with more than the engine, there are alot of other systems in these trucks, not to mention that if they are combined there will be twice as many posts to sort through to find an answer. at least the way it is, the job of sorting pre or post 1989(i think that's the year) is already done, and like cdsarguy kind of said, if they are combined, there is a much broader range of axles, wiring issues, fuel systems, and body types, sigs would have to be manditory and reference to witch veh.
more typing, more searching, more..please give more details on the vehicle, ..not as wonderful as people think it would be

dads - 1990 f250 2wd, ip may be tweaked, stage 1 injectors? maybee, 7.3 zf5 wide ratio,stock, needs paint and pyro.
grandpa's - 1989 f250 7.3, e4od, 4" straight pipe roar, 2wd stock, not planning on many mods.
pulls a 5w 20? ft camper, or bumper tool trailer\wood hauler(heats w\ wood)
