That is all DSE's additive is used for...removal/dispersal of any water and to combat gelling issues. On their bottle, the ingredients listed at one time was Naptha/Napthlene, Xylene & Mineral Spirits. No two stroke oil in their additive, lol. I am having excellent results with Power Service's product for water removal.
..I dont use kerosene anymore. For almost a year now, Ive been using plain ole #2 diesel as my thinner. (Cant get kerosene in these parts anymore)
..As per cost, I truly spend about $1.85 a gallon to produce my own fuel.
Food for thought.

Jason (FN74) with Dino Fuel Alternatives A.K.A. Veggie Stroke did some testing that showed the diesel supplements such as DK actually accelerated polymerization, so I stopped using it a long time ago and I have not noticed any performance negatives. I also do not want to use a product that emulsifies the water to let it pass with the fuel. I prefer for the fuel water seperator not to have anything working against it being able to do it's job.
I have been using 1 ounce of both naptha and turpentine per 10 gallons of WVO. Like your area, K1 is hard to get around here, but I don't want to use D2 as my thinner. I have read in so many places that only half the amount of K1 has to be used to equal the effects of D2 as a cutting agent. I have had good luck with using Jet-A in place of K1. It runs about a $1 more per gallon than D2, but using half as much saves $$$. My cost is running at about $1 per gallon
