I HAD A 525 HP N-14 in my 98 pete. only thing done to the engine wasa head gasket recall that was done when the truck had about 430,000 miles on it, the i had to start replacing injectors at about 680,000. I sold the truck with 940,000 miles on it and had never had any major work done. i had the bearings checked at 700,000 or so while they replaced a leaking pan gasket, all checked well, was told the bearings had a lot of life left then. hope this helps ya decide.
