Simple solution: Run your PTO.
Another solution: Install a switch in line to the PTO to open the circuit. When you throw the upfitter switch for the PTO the truck goes into SEIC but the PTO dosen't engage. There is no "flash" the dealer can do to make it all better. Trucks come from the factory with this program and that is determined by how they are ordered (ambulance, police, off road, military). Volk73- make sure you are doing the maintance as per the engine hours if you idle the truck for more than 10 min every hour. That puts it in the "severe duty service" catagory. Engine oil and filter changes need to be done every 5,000 miles or 200 hours, which ever comes first. 1 hour of engine idling equals 33 miles.
