Broken record. Hyundai sonata...100,000 k 10 year bumper to bumper warranty...does that mean they have faith in their product. Not. I can sell you a used vacuum...and tell you it's the last one you'll ever buy...blah blah..sales pitch
Again, not bashing BTS, but you're stuck on that warranty thing. BTS looks like a great trans, and most of you dont' even use it to it's potential...that's good peace of mind i guess. If it helps you sleep at night, great. I lifted my truck the day i brought it home..there went the warranty i was told...oh well who cares. Haven't had to take the truck in once. *well until now, gotta glitch in the idle...but i'm working on that still.
A buddy of mine who builds race trannies for NHRA once said....this is the last tranny you'll have to buy....made me feel good till i broke half track and oiled the track down. But he did replace it for free....that one time. What's the moral of this story? I dont' know, just keeping this thread alive!
As for the tranny fluid for free, nothing's free. They buy it bulk...or probably get most of it for dirt cheap....that's how all shops are. No biggy. didn't pay for mine either.
