Before you spend the time and money to replace the sensor you might want to try a little carb cleaner in the drain. A few years ago my light was on and wouldn't go off after draining. I stuck the straw up in the drain hole and gave it a real good flushing. All kinds of crap came out and I haven't had a problem since then. I just did it again today as I changed my filters.
