hmmm... crutchfield says 5x7 for rears in ext cabs, but the 6x8s for reg & crew cabs. i have installed speakers in all the configs of obs cabs & all had 6x8 rears.
that being said 6x8 is a fairly terrible sounding speaker unless you put an amp to it. it wants to think its a big speaker, but can't handle low freqs like one. i would get an adapter & a higher quality round speaker for the rears if i was doing it again... or if i could ever blow these things.
a little 10" with nice 6.5" all the way around would sound pretty good =)
