I put 6 1/2" in the front with a little massaging of the opening for them to fit.
I did buy 6x8 (factory size) for the rear, the 6x9 looked like it would need too much modification of the hole to get in for my taste. The 6x8 Pioneers have done very well for me the last 6 years.
