The injectors have nothing to do with it really. You need an different thermostat if you want more heat. Another helper is does your ebpv work? I gutted mine, am glad I did, but it takes 8 years of highway driving to warm it up. The stock thermostats are rated at 192 or so, that is at full flow, so in reality they start to open around 160 or 170. Dieselsite has 203* thermostats that do a better job of keeping you warm. Our cooling systems also bypass flow quite a bit of coolant when the thermostat isn't even open, unless you are pulling a load, that flow is enough to keep it cool enough to not open the thermostat for a long time. I have the same problem, just haven't ordered a thermostat, as I am trying to sell my truck, so don't wanna mess with it if I sell it. The best thing I can do is plug it in, the block heater does a bang up job of getting it up close to op temps. My cold weather starting is top notch, never had a problem starting in cold weather, esp since the sd starter, new gps and a stancor, the block heater just helps warm it up a bit, as a bonus if you leave it on defrost it puts off enough heat to thaw the windshield too.

On a side note, the only difference I have with stage ones and cold weather is holy crap does it run when its cold out, makes me think I need an intercooler. And with the straight pipe, no ebpv, and stage 1s, it smokes like a freight train sitting in the driveway when its cold out. Oh well, its a diesel, semis do the same thing when its cold out.
