As said. CHANGE THE FLUID. ROFLMAO
Also change the filter, real simple to do. Nix the deeper pan, if you think you want better cooling add a cooler. The one for the V10 is bigger. Only you can decide if you want the extra $$ for synthetic. But I changed long ago, because I tow and it gets 115dgF here a lot.
Sure a bigger pan will get you more fluid but when all of that extra fluid finally heats your not going to cool it down with the stock cooler, which after 10 years is probably not as efficient as it was new.
I am still running the original tranny in my truck and am the original owner.
