Can I weld it ?
Sure you can. Seal it as quick as you can to keep moisture out. Don't weld it on the truck . Block the openings any way you can while it's off. Get a can of 134A and charge it partially until spring then dump that charge out, or have it pro-charged in the spring. Pull the plug on the A/C compressor, it will want to run when the defrosters are on .
