When it's cold (-10c and below, especially -20+) I have little heat at idle. If it's -20c or below it's no heat at idle. Today ( -9c ) it was acceptable, however not great. 4wd works fine, the heater control vent options work fine. No coolant leaks (that I'm aware of), and the coolant level is at "min" when cold and hasn't budged. Lots of power and no other symptoms. 80,000 kms on the truck, 2006 F-350 6.0.

this is a problem up here i have 4 truck doing this at my shop the local ford dealer here has 38 plus trucks with the same issue and no fix for it in testing and working very closely with the dealership we have discovered the following the coolant flow is lost to the heater core ( how was this test done we disconnected the heater core supply hose and ran it to the degas bottle while at idle no or extremely little flow through the line idle truck up all ok ) we have replaced the following on one truck with NO change in results 4 thermostats , water pump , heater core , coolant flush , head gaskets , egr cooler , after all this back to ford to talk to them we were on with tech support they claim this is a normal condition for the 6.0l and no fix is available ( i call BS they are just trying to wash their hands of the 6.0l issue . WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN ? THERE WERE NO COMPLAINTS LAST WINTER AND NOW THERE IS ???)
