I've tried so many virus programs. I went without for a while, and got infected, and lost all my data on that unit. Fortunately, I had backed up using MozyHome Remote Backup, an online backup that is very reliable. Before restoring (in case my backup was somehow infected), I loaded the free 90-day trial of Microsoft's Live OneCare
Windows Live OneCare safety scanner: Free online tool for PC health and safety. It found the infection, and has worked seamlessly ever since, and caught many trojan horses along the way. I ended up subscribing to it for all my computers
