Men's Basketball: Robert Thurman Tabbed GNAC "Rookie Of The Week"

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - After putting forth a very strong all-around performance in Norwich's victory over Mount Ida on Saturday, NU freshman men's basketball player Robert Thurman was selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) "Rookie of the Week" on Tuesday.
Thurman scored 13 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked a career-high eight shots as the Cadets defeated the Mustangs, 86-79.
For the season, Thurman is averaging 8.1 ppg., and 6.0 rpg. The Edwards, Calif., native also leads the Cadets with 19 blocked shots.
The Norwich men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of Andrews Hall for the first time since early December on Tuesday, Jan. 13, when the Cadets host GNAC rival Lasell College at 7:30 p.m.
