Ah...the dreaded "clunk" from the left side near the front of the truck. This issue has plagued Ford truck drivers for years. There is no one particular item that causes it. Everything from frame rivets to loose fender mount bolts and everything in between...

Hopefully just installing shims will help you eliminate yours...but if not, do a search on here for "clunk" and begin the odyssey that many of the rest of us have been through to help eliminate one of the great mysteries of our time.
