Am having a problem[I think]
Following is situation 2001 F550 7.3 65000mi cps recall 09/04
I was demonstrating/ Training a MODIS to one of my customers last month ang showed him the buzz test [ this was on my 550] and got the 9 buzzes. While scanning data I noticed a per del readigs as follows 1 thru 7 .01 to.03 #8 5.3to5.8 Cyl contribution test gave me a PO284 [low fuel??] Truck runs strong and would not have known this "problem' existed if not trying to help someone out.
Took truck to my local dealer and they scanned it wiyh "GEM" [I think} They found a histotic code for quad driver [dtc1670 I think thats what the tech said] His contribution test did not show up any problem w/ #8 but he said that wasn't always a valid test
I had the rusty tank problem but when I built the truck in 2001 I installed a coleasing filter in line and never had any "stuff"'in the engine filter.
I am headin off to Alaska in June for a 5 month trip and dont want to be in Homer AK with problems I can correct now. Could this be a 'phantom code' or should I worry
