I am experiencing the same problem at 88,700 miles. My 5/100,000 runs out in two weeks. One of the diesel techs at the local dealer told me that there is a redesigned HFCM, which does away with the fuel heater and the WIF light problem. What the two have in common is beyond me, but I'm getting this fixed, before the "OH S#!T" warranty runs out.

Any of the other mek-a-necks here know anything about this "improved" HFCM?
