It also seems to lose acceleration whenever this noise is present, but the boost gauge doesn't change. A buddy of mine told me it was the wastegate, but I figured I would get an expert opinion. Has anyone else encountered this issue? It is normal? Or is something wrong? Before anyone says its a leak, I have checked and re-checked all clamps and pipes and it sounds as if it is coming right from the turbo. Thanks!

Im sure you know this, but puting a tuner, even the lightest of tune and the 6.0 will be blowing headgaskets, turbos and lots of other things. Like hottip said its probably the VGT which prevents the turbo from overboost. My buddies 6.0 has an edge tuner on level 1 and it has completly eaten that motor up. Probably doesnt help that he is on it all the time.
