I would be pissed at the dealership instead of ford for mistreatment.
FWIW I had a turbo "gum-up" at 90xxx miles and went to a local ford DS for a solution. Well the service manager was nothing but a ****y, ignorant SOB. When I mentioned that I have gauges and described the funky boost and had a good hunch it was sooted up, this guy starts accusing me of having a chip and this and that and if I bring it in they will void my warranty. I let him rant for a few, ended up walking out. The next day I head to the BIG dealership. Talk to the lead tech describing the same things. He says "yup sounds like youll need a new turbo, how about if I order it right now and just drop your truck off in a few days". Nothing but polite professional service and he didnt even look at the truck.
