In my opinion the right way to service the TorqShift trans is to flush the fluid with a
heated flush machine. The external filter should be changed, but there is no reason to drop the pan or change the internal filter unless there is something wrong with the trans.
That's my opinion, you're welcome to have a different one.

I'm not a tech, but I have an opinion.
Ford cares, but they don't own the dealerships so all they can do is to recommend what to do. They can't MAKE the dealer do it certain ways.
