This is just an idea that I've recently thought of. I don't know how good of an idea it is though. I was thinking of mounting a remote toggle switch somewhere out of sight, where only you or other operators of the truck know where it is. This switch could be used to bypass the brake-interlock switch that allows the truck to be taken out of park upon someone stepping on the brake. So my whole theory is to be able to flip the switch off when exiting the truck, so if someone else gets in the truck, manages to get to the point of being able to get it running, they won't be able to remove it from park. Granted, this would all depend on the strength of the system that retains the shift lever in the park position, of which I really am not familiar with. So someone chime in and tell me why this really isn't a good idea. I know someone will know better. It was just my bright idea of the day. =)
