The unburned hydrocarbon content of a modern engine's exhaust gas, before aftertreatment, is typically less than 0.1% (1,000 parts per million) unless the engine's misfiring. The instruments we use to measure it only range up to 1%. (10,000 parts per million)
Even if you included the soot content of a Diesel engine running on the verge of overfueling, you'd still be under 1%.
