I live w/ the cluster light and the odo display. I just clear the display w/ the cluster reset buttom everytime I start the truck. I kinda got into that habit.
I think the tire presure recommendation on the door is too high for unloaded driving conditions. Rough ride w/ the stock tires or bigger tires (just play w/ the pressures for best ride comfort and wear).
Just pump them up when towing.
