I have an 05 6.0 PSD just got it outta tha shop, new head gaskets, arp head studs and egr cooler bypass kit. I cant buil over 21 pounds of boost. I know this is low and should be higher. The truck still feels strong and runs great just my boost levels are not what they were before all the work. All my sensors are good, MAP 14.7, Barao 14.7 & EBP 14.6. Also took control of the VGT at 85% once this was done it went all the way to 30 PSI. It went to so high it started fluttering due to high back pressure. but when I drive my truck and mash it i am only gettin 21 PSI. Even with a bully dog down loader in extreme performance i only get 21 PSI with it to tha floor. At high speeds it will hit about 25 but thats goin over 90MPH (i really dont drive that fast). My turbo still spools up quick but wont go no higher than 21 PSI. I dont get it, pulled the IPR cleaned the screen. Checked all my charge piping and everything is tight, I even have the new updated blue ford couplings for my intercooler piping. Also swapped out the right bank charge pipe (the one that feeds the EGR cooler on passenger side) with an 04 charge pipe that dont have the scoop to the EGR cooler, its just a smooth shot to the exhaust side of the turbo. But still low boost. I talk to all kinds of guys who put on these bypas kits a swear they get 30 to 35 pounds outta there stock VGT. Why cant i be one of those guys, some one hit me back if they have some good info to help me out thanks.
