Are there any better rubber boots available to go between the turbo and intake manifold? I'm loosing a little boost somewhere, and mine are now 15 years old....
I needed some a few years back. International dealers usually have them in stock for cheaper than Ford but they were out of stock when I was leaving for a trip.
Out on the road I got some 3" hose from a hardware store. It looks like heater hose but is a little heavier. It is sometimes called "exhaust hose".
It cost me $2 and still looks good to go after three years.
I suspect time will prove it to be even more rugged than silicone ones.
Only downside is that the stuff is kind of stiff and if you were doing both sides of a Y pipe it would be a little tough to get them both on.
Cheap is good.....just needs to hold 25 psi (at least, I hope...right now I can only get 15 psi, according to Jody I should be getting around 23 with this burn).
That is where I got mine from...70k on it and no issues.
