I could not remember who used the middle leaf, thanks for the post.
Using the middle leaf you hav to do a little cutting and modding but it can be done.

EXCEPT I have the anti-wrap and not the thick variable rate on the bottom.
As has been said if you don't add the leafs you will be on that variable rate all the time and the rear end will kick you in the tail.
I did not want to ever feel the varable rate so I did not use it.
I have had some very heavy loads on the back of the X and the one extra leaf is more than enough. If it is not; go slow you are way overloaded.
