in my case I tow a large toyhauler (39' and my rock krawler fits inside)and couldnt lift the truck due to the fifth wheel....

the stock 20" tire measures around 34" tall.....if a fifth wheel is ever in your future take it into consideration

I went with a 2" spacer and put airbags on the rear for when I am towing....I also put a larger 20" tire that is a 35.5 x 13.50 wide....I also went and put 4.10 gears in....My speedo is back to only being 1 mph off (gps verified) which is basically stock..

If anyone is thinking of changing gears....spend the money on FACTORY ford gears in the rear...you can use aftermarket in the front.....the new trucks are so quiet inside that with the aftermarket gears you can hear them whine
( the aftermarket gears are slightly smaller to fit both the sterling 10 1/4 and the 10 1/2 ....they make up the difference with the bearings hence the whine)
