I bought my truck with 39,000 miles on it, previous owner had a K&N in it, when I installed a bunch of mods and had the turbo out I was amazed at the damage to my impeller wheel in the turbo, blade edges rounded and badly dinged, installed WW and ford AIS and 100,000 miles later my impeller blades are as sharp as they were new and my intake system is amazingly clean, just the light coating of oil from the CCV. I will never use a K&N again. The only problem the oil on the filter can cause is MAF failure.
