Problem Solved!

Got it fixed! Had to replace the blower motor resistor assembly. Not sure if it makes a difference if you have the EATC (electronic panel) or manual temperature control (three dials) but mine is the manual. The part is listed from 99 through 2007 models but again not sure if it makes a difference on which system you have. I am doing a write up with the part numbers and some pics for those who may find it helpful. I will post it when I am done.
