I run a Detroit in my van, which is a daily driver. You have to change your driving style a little, but I love it. I find that Detroit's work fine in longer wheelbase rigs. For someone that sees a lot of snow, it may not be a great choice, but imho, that depends on driving skill. I just like knowing that there are only two things that can happen. My rear axle is either locked, or it's blown up. Simple!!!!
I have nothing against ARB lockers. They work great.
