The diesels don't get the mileage they use to,so that's not a big selling point any more. However,what keeps me coming back to the diesel is the resale value. In my area at least,the gasser resales far less that the cost of the diesel option.Plus you have all of the other advantages of the diesel while you own it. Although all the new diesel emissions suck.
BTW,nice truck. I've never seen a gas King Ranch before.
