The bearings are very expensive (if not replaceable) if you are already doing ball joints but if just doing bearings pull the bubs and stop at step #15 then reverse without pulling the axle and knuckle. Depending on the design of your hub you may need the whole hub assembly. For ball joints, the DIY route saves well over $700 compared to a shop. For bearings only it would save a couple hundred or more. My bearing s were OK and I just repacked them. It doesn't take bravery just force and common sense...I was running low on both the day I did mine.
