vehicle shuts off after running veg
i have a 6.9 with a rebuilt injection pump...i can run diesel fine all day long...i can even run veg fine all day long, its once i purge ((after running veg i inject diesel and the return goes back to the veg tank)) that i have a problem...i will usually experience power loss at all and any speeds and the vehicle will finally shut down and sometimes start back up but usually won't...i have a fuel bleeder line installed just before the injection pump which i use to take temp readings because my temp guage acts a little funny...but everytime i take temps i am definitely at worst at 170 degrees...i am also heating and centrifuging and i don't show any restriction on my filter or anywhere in my fuel lines..and its not air in my lines ((i have clear hose)) this is the thing. i know what happens but when i talk to most people its above them...if you take the top of the injection pump off ((the starting solenoid)) you have an area filled with fuel and the governor flex spring and the metering valve and im sure other things i don't know the name of...the metering valve actually gets jammed in place...its suppose to move back and forth freely but it becomes extremely hard to move...so when my van shut down i open the pump and wiggle the "valve" until it moves freely and then close it back up and stay on diesel and its usually fine until i run on veg and then purge again... i can't figure it out...and its becoming extremely frustrating...im currently traveling and am staying in the colorado springs area until i can maybe resolve this issue...i hope someone out there can put me in the right direction...i would also like to meet up with some people in the area that are into wvo or bio or an awesome mechanic that won't charge me my life savings..my internet access is limited but give me a call if you want at 804 543 4715 kevin
